Certified arborist
Tree care led by ISA Certified Arborist James A. Dumas
A tree company is only as good as its lead arborist. Certification is the starting point. The experience, training and education that come after it are what make a great arborist. James brings both to every property we work on.

The credential
What "ISA Certified Arborist" means
The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certifies arborists who pass a comprehensive exam covering tree biology, pruning, diagnosis, safety and more. To keep the credential, an arborist has to keep earning continuing education credits. It shows a professional who has proven their knowledge and keeps it current.
Anyone with a truck and a chainsaw can call themselves a tree service. Hiring a certified arborist is how you know the person caring for your trees has proven what they know.
Our standard: we trim all hardwoods and palms using the ANSI A300 guidelines, the national standard for tree care practices, and we make it a priority to keep our arborist knowledge as up to date as possible.
Arborist services
Expert answers about your trees
Tree assessments
Is that tree healthy, stable and safe near your home? James looks at structure, decay, lean, roots and signs of pests or disease, and tells you plainly what he sees.
Arborist reports
Written arborist reports for problem trees and palms that may need to be removed, for when a city, HOA or property manager needs documentation.
Pruning recommendations
A plan for what to cut, what to leave and when, so pruning improves the tree's health, appearance and safety instead of setting it back.
Pest and disease checks
We look for pests and disease that could put a tree at risk during every trimming visit, and recommend next steps when we find something.
In the field
Arborist knowledge on every job
The same expertise goes into routine trimming, removals and storm work, not just consultations.

Questions
Arborist FAQ
When do I need an arborist report?
Usually when a city, county, HOA or property manager wants professional documentation of a tree's condition before it's removed, or when you want an expert opinion on whether a tree is a hazard.
Can you tell me if my tree is safe?
Yes. Request an arborist visit and James will assess the tree's structure and health, explain what he finds, and recommend pruning, monitoring or removal as needed.
Is an arborist more expensive than a regular tree service?
Not necessarily. Our customers often tell us our pricing was the best or in line with other estimates they got. The difference is that the work is done to professional standards.
